PREVIOUS WORK

THE FOOTBALL SUPERNOVA | WRITER
March 2011 - June 2016
Started this Football blog which covered stories from around European Football's top leagues. Through the success of the blog I made a couple of appearances on MTV Lebanon, was invited to on numerous UK based podcasts as a guest and wrote on some articles for other blogs around the Football Blogging sphere. Eventually I was hired to write similar articles for STC SPORTS (Saudi Arabia) between March 2012 and April 2014.

STC SPORTS (Middle East/North Africa) | Freelance Journalist March 2012 - April 2014
http://www.stcsports.com

I was hired by STC Telecom (Saudi Telecom) for their brand of Sports News to write pieces and reports on all Football-related stories. These stories were not focused on game analysis, but on creative analytical pieces, that catered to the ever-evolving Arab Market. All articles were written in English.

JAZZTEL (Madrid, Spain) | Account Manager (Middle East/North Africa) April 2011 - April 2012

In charge of bringing in new business to this reputable Spanish Telecom company, Jazztel, from the Middle East/North Africa region (notably Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE). Managing up to 30 accounts at the same time in the role of Account Manager whereby we bought/sold minutes to and from some of the biggest markets in the world. The role was in Spanish and I was able to adjust to the environment and workplace, forming part of a team that successfully brought in new business on a regular basis.

MADA COMMUNICATIONS (Lebanon) | Account Manager (Middle East/North Africa) February 2009 - February 2011

Started working in an industry I was not familiar with and grew our client base. I was able to get us businesses with a focus on the Middle East accounts and developing our business in the region (notably Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE). Managed up to 50 accounts in this role whereby we bought/sold minutes from and to some of the biggest markets around the world - which ultimately led me to receiving an offer to leave Beirut and work in Madrid. This was mainly thanks to the strong relationships and partnerships with International Carriers I had built - all of which developed business that helped increase overall sales for the company.
